Many religions, United by one Compassion

Compassionate Service Society, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Rt. Reverend Alexei Smith (Ecumenical and Interreligious Officer of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles), and Dr. Philip Clayton (Professor/Christian Theologian) cordially invites you to be a part of this special event:

Meditation for Religious Unity
Date: SATURDAY, July 8, 2017
From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Location: Long Beach Convention Center
100 S. Pine Avenue
Long Beach, CA 90802
(lunch will be served)

With our present times of division and conflict, especially regarding race and religion, we would like to invite you to join members of Compassionate Service Society Buddhist community, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Catholic/Christian community and other communities from different religious backgrounds for this special Meditation for Religious Unity event to give a powerful message to the world that although we come from many different religions, we are all united by one compassion.
Moreover, this event aims to create an opportunity for international and interfaith religious communities to congregate, pray and meditate together. Knowing that peace and harmony begins with an understanding, recognition and respect for our differences, traditions, and rituals, all religions essentially have the same purpose of having compassion for all. This is the essence of all religions in which we can all practice and participate.
Please join us to bring the community together towards solidarity and to meet new friends along the way. We will be truly honored and blessed by your presence.

Warmest regards,
Compassionate Service Society
